¿Cómo supiste la escuela móvil?
Con la asociación
ICYE International Cultural Youth Exchange (www.icye.org).
Se puede elegir entre algunos proyectos y la escuela móvil era uno de esos. Elegí
la escuala móvil porque querria saber mas sobre este tipo de escuela (hay escuela móvil en todo el mundo). Y elegí la Bolivia, porque no sabía casi nada sobre el país. Además es el país más
pobre de América Latina y necesita, más que otros países, ayuda.
¿Hace cuanto tiempo trabajas tú con la escuela móvil y cuanto tiempo en
total?
Hace 3 semanas
y voy a quedarme 11 meses más, entonces 1 año en total.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta en la escuela móvil?
Las
cosas que me cuentan los niños, sus historias, por ejemplo de sus familias, de sus
trabajos, lo que quieren hacer en el futuro, lo que quieren estudiar. Me gusta
mucho que ya tienen un proyecto de vida, un sueño.
¿Cómo los niños te han aceptado?
Es
diferente entre todos los lugares donde vamos. Pero, generalmente los niños no
son cerrados. Aunque no me conocen, quieren jugar, hablar… Tienen fácilmente confianza.
Cuando digo que soy de Austria, los niños dicen siempre “ Wahouu”, quieren
saber mucho sobre el país. Pero, no saben dónde está Austria, confunden con
Australia. También, a menudo, no entienden que Europa es un continente, piensen
que es un país.
¿Cómo estaba tu nivel de español antes de llegar?
Estaba bien porque mi mamá es peruana.

What do you like the most in the escuela móvil?
The things that the children tell me, their stories, for example stories about their families, their jobs, or what they want to do in the future, what they want to study. I really like to hear that they have lives’ projects and dreams.
How did the children accept you?
It is different in all the places we go. But generally the children are not closed off. Although they don’t know me, they want to play and talk. They easily trust us. When I tell them I am from Austria, the children always say "Wahouu" and want to learn a lot about my country. But they don’t know where Austria is, they actually confuse with Australia. They also often don’t understand that Europe is a continent, they think it’s a country.
What was your Spanish level before arriving?
It was good because my mother is Peruvian.

una organización que hace intercambio cultural. He elegido algunos países en América
Latina porque tenía ganas de descubrir esta cultura.
¿Hace cuanto tiempo trabajas tú con la escuela móvil y cuanto tiempo en
total?
Hace 3
meses y voy a quedarme 8 meses más, entonces 11 meses en total.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta en la escuela móvil?
Que
podemos ayudar a los niños de cumplir a su propósito. Por ejemplo, Reina que quisiera ser abogada.
¿Y lo más difícil?
El contrasto,
nosotros tenemos dinero, nos quedamos solo 1 año, podemos viajar. Debe ser duro
para los niños de despedir muchos voluntarios y afortunadamente no se puede
cambiar tanto en un año.
¿Cómo los niños te han aceptado?
Bien. Siempre
me preguntan: ¿De dónde eres?, ¿Cómo se dice eso en alemán? Los niños son curiosos
de mi país. Lo niños ya sabían dónde estaba Alemania porque hay hartos
voluntarios de Alemania J
¿Cómo estaba tu nivel de español antes de llegar?
No aprendí español en el colegio. Solo aprendí
con una amiga Mexicana de mis padres. Ella me enseño español por unas semanas.
Entonces, tenía un nivel básico. Era difícil al principio de entender los niños
que hablan bien rápido.
¿Y ahora?
Mucho
mejor, claro que mejore mi nivel gracias a la escuela móvil, jugando con los niños
y también vivo en una familia donde solo se habla español.

exchanges. I chose some countries in Latin America because I wanted to explore
this culture.

Good. They always ask me: Where are you from?, How do you say that in German? The children want to know about my country. They already knew where it was because there are a lot of volunteers from Germany here.

What was your Spanish level
before arriving?
I didn’t learn Spanish at school. I just learned with a Mexican friend of my parents. She taught me Spanish for a few weeks. Then, I had a basic level. It has been difficult at first to understand the children who talk really fast.

Much better. My Spanish has improved a lot thanks to the escuela móvil, playing with the kids. And also
I’m living in a bolivian family where Spanish is the only language spoken.

Mi
escuela se llama “Tujsupaya”, la clase está en la tarde de las 2 a las 6 o 7,
estoy en Cuarto curso de segundario.
¿Trabajas tú?
Vende
cuellitos de gallina en mi barrio en un kiosco, con mis hermanos y mi mamá.
Trabajo casi cada día.
¿Puedes hablar un poco de tu familia?
Tengo 7 hermanos:
4 hermanos, 3 hermanas. El mayor se llama Juan Domingo, trabaja en Sucre en la
empresa Coca-Cola, tiene 30 años. El menorcito es Gabriel, 10 años. Mi papá es
un albañil que trabaja en Santa Cruz.
¿Qué quisieras ser cuando seas grande?
No sé,
no sé, quizás profesora de primaria.

Many years, I was 8 years old when I started.

are useful for you at school?
Yes, they are. The mathematic games for example.
What the name of your school?
My school is called "Tujsupaya". I have class in the afternoon,
from 2 to 6 or 7 and I'm in the 4th grade in Secondary School.
Do you have a job?
I sell chicken neck in a kiosk in my neighborhood, with my brothers and my
mom. I work almost every day.
Could you talk a bit about your family?
I have 7 siblings, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. The oldest is called Juan
Domingo, he works in Sucre in the Coca-Cola Company, he is 30 years
old. The youngest is Gabriel, 10 years old. My dad is a mason and
works in Santa Cruz.
What would you like to be when you will be a growing up?
I don’t know, perhaps a teacher in primary school.

I don’t know, I don’t know, Teacher!
